Health or Wellness coaching offers you the opportunity to work on problem areas in your life and to overcome them and potential obstacles using a series of attainable goals. The initial consultation with your personal wellness coach usually lasts 75-90 minutes, during which you get to know each other and discuss such things as medical history and the issues you wish to address over the course of the next three months. Thereafter, you will have weekly sessions, lasting 30-45 minutes, either over the phone or in person, wherein you will evaluate your goal attainment and examine ways to overcome any hurdles that prevent you from reaching your objectives. Health coaching and Wellness coaching are burgeoning new fields, based on the principles of Positive Psychology, and succeeds because it empowers you to be in control of your future.
